The short version
Glowguard does not ask for your name, email address or an account to play. We keep as little as we can: a random id for your device, the pilot name you choose, and your game progress. We do not sell your data, we show no ads and nothing in Glowguard is for sale.
What we collect
- A random device id and a private key. Made on your device the first time you play, so your progress can be saved on our server. They are not linked to your phone, an advertising id or anything else about you.
- Your pilot name. Only if you set one. It is shown on the Daily Flight board, so do not use your real name if you would rather not.
- Game progress. Stars, Lumens, ships, upgrades and settings.
- Gameplay statistics. Counts of flights started and finished, how long they took, and errors, used to find levels that are unfair and to fix bugs.
- Your IP address is processed by our server to deliver the game and to limit abuse. It is never stored on your player record.
Powell Play ID
If you sign in with Powell Play, we receive your Powell Play ID, username, avatar and confirmed email address from Powell Lines LLC. Powell Play may also send your confirmed email address; Glowguard does not use, store or share it, and drops it as soon as the sign-in is checked. If you disconnect the game or delete your Powell Play account, we stop using them and remove them from Glowguard. If you ask Powell Play to delete your data in every connected game, we delete your Glowguard data too. See powellplay.com/privacy.
Signing in with Powell Play uses your face, fingerprint or screen lock, or an email code. There is no password.
Game statistics and Powell Play
If you sign in with Powell Play, the Powell Play service from Powell Lines LLC can show your Glowguard stats on your Powell Play profile (you can hide your profile at id.powellplay.com/account). We share only totals, never an email, IP address or device id.
Feedback
Notes you send with Send feedback in the Powell Play button go to the Powell Play support inbox with the game's version, the screen you were on and your device type, so we can fix what you found.
Children
Glowguard is for players 13 and over, and Powell Play ID accounts are 13 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
- Game progress: until you delete it, or after 24 months with no play.
- Gameplay event records: 180 days.
- Daily Flight board entries: 120 days.
Your choices
You can delete everything we hold about you at any time, from Settings in the game or on the Delete my data page. If you are in the EU, the UK or California, the same button covers your rights to erasure and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither).
Contact
